Local 2/2289-M hosted a educational training seminar for current and future union
stewards and executive board members. The seminar was presented by renowned
Graphic Communications Conference International Representative Phil Roberts.
Mr. Roberts discussed the variety of challenges union stewards face and how to
effectively deal with these challenges in today's work environment. |

The day long seminar included training materials, discussion of general and labor law,
grievance investigation and grievance writing exercises. The importance of
objective handling and covering all issues that could arise later were stressed.
Participants were encouraged to "think outside the box" in problem solving. |
